Getting your hair and nails done is serious business, especially when your name happens to be “Vanity.” On Jan. 4, Vanity Perkins, the wife of the Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins, was not satisfied with the beautification that a Oklahoma City nail salon had done and went on the offensive. KOCO Channel 5 aired a video of Vanity getting into some finger-pointing and shoving with a nail salon technician Trang Nguyen. Witnesses claim that Kendrick also joined the fracas. “He said some bad word, yes, and he was slamming on the door. He was running his car and threw a bottle,” Nguyen said. Both parties eventually declined to press charges. KOCO contacted the Thunder organization, which had no comment about the incident.
Vanity defended her actions on Twitter.
I don’t think Vanity really needs to have a diva breakdown at a nail salon when her husband is in the midst of a four year $34.8 million contract, especially when he’s only scoring four points a game.
